Data Security

How Linkkit protects your data

At Linkkit, protecting your account and workspace data is a top priority. The Security settings allow you to manage login protection, monitor active sessions, and maintain strong password security.

This guide explains how each security feature works and how to keep your account protected.

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Two-Factor Authentication adds a verification step when signing in to your account.

When enabled, 2FA requires:

  • Your password

  • A secondary verification code

This ensures that even if your password is compromised, unauthorised users cannot access your account.

2FA is currently coming soon and will be available in the Security section once released.

Why 2FA Matters

  • Protects against password breaches

  • Prevents unauthorized logins

  • Adds an extra security layer to your workspace

Active Sessions Management

The Active Sessions panel allows you to monitor all devices currently logged into your Linkkit account.

You can:

  • View your current session

  • Identify other logged-in devices

  • Sign out of any session instantly

If you forget to log out from a shared or public device, you can remotely terminate that session for security.

When to Review Active Sessions

  • After logging in on a new device

  • If you suspect unauthorised access

  • After using a public or shared computer

Managing active sessions is one of the fastest ways to secure your account.

Password Security

Your password is the foundation of account protection.

From the Security settings, you can change your password at any time.

How to Strengthen Your Password

  • Use at least 8–12 characters

  • Include uppercase and lowercase letters

  • Add numbers and symbols

  • Avoid reusing passwords from other platforms

If you signed in using a third-party authentication provider (such as Google), password updates may be handled by that provider.

Security Best Practices for Your Workspace

To maintain strong data security in Linkkit:

  • Enable Two-Factor Authentication when available

  • Regularly review active sessions

  • Change your password periodically

  • Avoid sharing login credentials

  • Remove inactive team members promptly

These steps help prevent unauthorised access and keep your workspace secure.
