Organizing with Lists

Create folders to group related links

The Organizing with Lists feature in Linkkit helps you group and manage links using a structured, folder-style system.

Unlike segments (which allow flexible, multi-category labeling), lists provide clear, hierarchical organization. Each link belongs to one list at a time, making lists ideal for keeping campaigns, projects, or clients neatly separated.

Lists are perfect when you want:

  • Clean separation between campaigns

  • Dedicated folders for clients

  • Organized project-based link management

  • A structured dashboard layout

If segments are flexible labels, lists are your structured folders.

How It Works

Lists act like containers that hold related links together.

Here’s how it works:

  1. You create a list (for a campaign, client, or project).

  2. You assign links to that list.

  3. You view and manage links inside the list.

  4. You move links between lists when needed.

Each link belongs to one list, which keeps your structure clean and organized.

This system makes it easier to manage links when working on multiple campaigns or with multiple clients.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Create a New List

  1. Log into your Linkkit dashboard.

  2. Navigate to the Lists section.

  3. Click Create List.

  4. Enter a clear and descriptive list name.

  5. Save your list.

Your new list is now ready to organize links.

Step 2: Add Links to a List

You can assign links to a list in two ways.

Option A: While Creating a Link

  1. Create a new short link.

  2. Locate the List selection option.

  3. Choose the appropriate list.

  4. Save your link.

The link will now appear inside that list.

Option B: Move an Existing Link to a List

  1. Open your Links dashboard.

  2. Select the link you want to organize.

  3. Edit the link.

  4. Choose a list from the dropdown menu.

  5. Save changes.

The link is now assigned to the selected list.

Step 3: View Links Inside a List

  1. Go to the Lists page.

  2. Click on a specific list.

  3. View all links assigned to that list.

You can:

  • Sort links by date or performance

  • Edit links directly

  • Track analytics within that list

This makes campaign tracking and reporting more focused and efficient.

Managing Your Lists

The Lists section gives you control over your structure.

You can:

  • Rename a List: Update the list name if your campaign or project changes.

  • Move Links Between Lists: Reassign links if they belong in a different campaign or client folder.

  • Delete a List: If a campaign is complete, you can delete the list.

Note: Links inside the list are not deleted — they simply become unassigned or can be moved elsewhere. This flexibility ensures your structure can evolve as your business grows.
